Hello, I’m Josh.

For most of my adult life, photography has played a crucial role in how I experience the world.  More than just ticking things off of a “bucket list”, photography is for me a way to capture the essence of a location and preserve it for the future.  

As time, tourism and climate change the world, places and moments often become lost or inaccessible. I’m driven by a need to capture the “decisive moment” that tells the story of a place at a given point in time where it is beautiful, interesting or otherwise worthy of attention. My work therefore blends sensibilities of both landscape and journalistic photography - a way to share the beauty of a place with the world. 

It brings me great joy to capture the beauty of our natural and built world, and to be able to share it with you. I hope that you are also able to see the beauty of our world in my work.
